2011 Volleyball Campout
In 1884, the prophets of the day predicted that the world would end that year based on their calculations using biblical figures.
When they woke up the next morning to a new sunrise, they were all sulking. They called it “The Great Disappointment”.
In 1994, Harold Camping determined by his own calculations that September of that year was the real end of the world.
The next day, he had his own ‘Great Disappointment’.
He went back to the bible and found that he had made an error in his calculation.
The real, real end of the world was going to be on May 21, 2011 at 6 PM.
Some people gave away their earthly belongings, while several others made sure they were with their loved ones on the said day.
This past Saturday at 6 PM (May 21st), I was watching the news and they were talking about how the world had not
come to an end one hour ago like it was supposed to. Apparently, Camping meant 6 PM EASTERN TIME!
It’s a good thing it didn’t actually happen because I would have missed it by one hour.
Anyway, I dove into the bible and decide to do some calculating of my own.
I have determined that August 15, 2011 is the new EOW date.
With that in mind, I invite you to the LAST EVER WORLD EVENT – THE EARLVILLE VOLLEYBALL CAMPOUT on August 12, 13 & 14, 2011
(unless I’m wrong in my calculation in which case there will be one every year).
More details to come . . . . . . . . . . . .
